Menno Veeneklaas - Partner
Menno has 18 years of diverse business experience including 7 years in Managing Director and CEO roles with growth-stage healthcare and ecommerce companies; 6 years in private equity, corporate finance and corporate development roles with companies including Macquarie Bank and the Virgin Group investment holding company; and 5 years in strategy consulting with the Boston Consulting Group. During his career Menno has worked with many private and listed companies in Australia, New Zealand, the United States, UK, Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia. He has served as an executive and non executive director on more than 10 private company boards and has co-founded two companies. Menno specialises in mergers, acquisitions, divestments, capital raisings and assisting companies with developing and executing growth strategies. He has a BA in economics and politics from York, UK and an MBA from Kellogg, USA. Menno is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Samuel Marks - Partner
Sam has over 14 years of commercial experience across a range of industries in diverse global roles. His initial experience was with Coopers & Lybrand / PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he spent 5 years in their Middle Market team focused on mid-market businesses in an Audit & Tax capacity. He subsequently took a role at Arthur Andersen and KordaMentha within the Corporate Finance & Corporate Recovery team. Prior to starting his own corporate advisory business, Sam worked with General Electric for 7 years based in Australia and the United States. During this time he worked as an internal management consultant within an executive training program and the Debt Capital Markets Group. In these roles, Sam worked in the USA, UK, Europe, China, Hong Kong & Australia, completing strategy reviews, acquisitions, integrations and divestments for business transactions ranging from $5m to $3Bn. He also worked as a Finance Manager for a $75m GE business and Treasury Manager for GE’s Commercial Finance business in Australia and New Zealand. Sam is a Chartered Accountant, has a Bachelor of Business and is Six Sigma qualified.
Errol Pinto - Partner
Errol has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Throughout his career he has consulted to a number of corporate and financial institutions in Australia and overseas. He founded two financial services companies, one of which he sold to a public listed company. In 2004 Errol founded a third company called ReferCorp which has become a successful online referral and financial product origination platform for over 10,000 accounting, legal, financial planning and professional firms. Errol’s core focus throughout his career has been to develop and implement new business concepts, products and services. He now focuses on capital raisings and assisting companies with growth initiatives
Gary Blom - Partner
Gary has over 30 years of business experience. He spent 12 years working as an investment banker in New York. During his time in the US Gary worked on numerous transactions across a wide range of industry sectors. Following his return to Australia he has been involved in a number of entrepreneurial endeavours, most notably the successful launch of the large-format 3D IMAX movie theatres. Gary is a Director and shareholder in a wine and beer business that has manufacturing operations in Australia and distribution in China and the United States. Gary specialises in complex negotiations, deal structuring and business development.
